Hormones must be raging, pre-GHW or something. I've been an emotional garbage can today. Horny > depressed > angry then back again. It's like should I cry, give everyone the middle finger.... or buy Spore, on Jason's dime.

Ps. I have a cold still. 

My circadian rhythms must be all jacked up since the relocation. I'm half asleep during the day, in a relatively content mood, then when night comes I'm wide awake raging with emotions!  ..So I lost count of how many days I've been working on this. I didn't work on it yesterday and only sanded it briefly on Sunday.

However, IT IS FINISHED being sanded.
Last thing I need to do is stain / polyurethane it. Can't decide on whether to do a water-based polyurethane or a oil-polyurethane clear coat.

OMG I'm in love with the power sander. Just when I thought the dresser couldn't look any better, Jason's dad shows me how to use the power-sander. The freaking thing looks brand new inside and out!  1 more drawer left to sand and 1/2 the dresser to strip; whole dresser left to sand. For photography sake one of the pictures has a stripped side and a untouched side, so you can see the improvement.

Also, our king mattress/bed is heaven.

I spent most of today stripping and scrubbing and stripping and scrubbing and sanding.
I got A LOT done today thanks to the beautiful weather. I stripped all the drawers and sanded 3/4 of the drawers. One drawer [the top one] still needs more stripping. The orange color + the grooves = quite a pain in the butt. Since I have to work tomorrow, I'll ( Read more... )

I decided the other day that I needed a hobby. Jason has his RC stuff and the Sims2 can only entertain me for so long.  So I'm taking on our dresser.

It took me a few tries to find a freaking stripper that does what I want it to do. But FINALLY found one that works!

I went to the family doctor a few days ago to get a refill on the zoloft, and I casually mention to the RN, I have a few warts on my hand I'd like to get removed... and "do you do that here?"
