eating

This is the second time this afternoon that I've offered Maude food.  It's Fancy Feast Shrimp and Fish dinner.   It stinks.

She is just now starting to eat it.  I'm 5 feet away, on the computer, rooting her on.

Go Maude.

Feral cats are tricky. I've only managed to make friends with a feral once, and I think it only happened half because of his temperment and half because I would spend time with him on the porch every day at first, studiously Not Looking At Him.

My money is on, that this feline:

A. Becomes a member of your purrmanent (sic) household.

B. Will soon develop a voracious appetite, requiring either constant feeding or attention.

C. The teaching of Civics in grade school will soon make a resurgence.

I have five former ferals. They're hard. They're also rewarding for a person who speaks enough cat to eventually get through to them.

Piggy, the one in the icon, is still nervous at times, but so sweet once he recalls that skritching feels good.
