I had big plans for today. Exercise, cooking, cleaning, the works. Much of that was lost to Coraline and a long nap. It was an awesome nap though. I think it evens out.

At Berkeley, the students are all about working hard and playing hard. And it's in California. But I like other schools too, and so I am now very conflicted. Good conflicted, of course!

I've now been accepted to four schools and have one interview left! It's in not-so-sunny California which should be fun!

My fourth acceptance seems unofficial so far. The admissions committee hasn't said anything to me yet, but I have been congratulated by a graduate student and a faculty member. I'd still like to hear from someone official

I got to play with my boss's baby today. She's so adorable! She really likes to grab my hair, and in the process also grabbed my ears and tried to poke me in the eyes. Coordination is not her strong point yet. I suppose I can forgive her that considering she's only six months old ( Read more... )

My dog turns 9 tomorrow. She's definitely aged in the last year which makes me sad. She's gotten really grey on her chin and muzzle, plus she has a lot less energy. She hung out with me in our unfenced front yard today and made no breaks for freedom. So it's nice she can hang out with me without a fence, but I wish she had the energy she used ( Read more... )
