Not so in love w/ Love Soap

Feb 01, 2010 17:05

So went on a complete haul yesterday and wound up picking up some Love Soap, since it was yummy-smelling, pretty, and festive. The problem? I tried it out in my morning shower today and not only did it make me feel instantly dry/squeaky (something I usually love Lush soaps for NOT doing to my skin) but now I'm feeling a bit itchy and almost like ( Read more... )

return policy, soap, seasonal products, allergies/sensitivities

They'll absolutely take it back. Just return it to the store, explain briefly what happened, and state you'd like to return it for either a refund/different product. Nobody's going to look at you sideways!

really? i didn't think they'd do that, since there isn't anything technically wrong with it, just a personal taste.

There is something wrong with it: it doesn't suit the buyer. LUSH has a fabulous return policy and "...wants you to be happy with your purchase" covers a multitude of situations, this one included.

Excellent! I will definitely take it back and switch it for something I know I'll use : ) Thanks for the advice!

i don't think they'll let you exchange it... maybe use it as a handsoap or in your guest-toilet?

Hmmm. Well I don't want to keep using it, as I think my skin did actually react to it (like might have caused bumps/itching, yikes!) and sadly my tiny london flat barely has one toilet. But if I can't return it, I'm sure I can find someone I know who will be happy to take it off my hands, as it's only been used once : )

I bought a $12 chunk of Chox Away, and a $10 chunk of Sultana-- I ended up not liking either of them for different reasons. Chox Away I didn't use, Sultana I did-- granted I had cut a chunk off rather than use the whole bar so it could have been resellable (I doubt Lush does this though, as it is not hygienic and kind of gross for other customers... I have heard that SA's can claim returns to take home themselves if they want to though.) but either way, I took them both back, apologized to the SA and explained to her that I didn't really like either of them, and without question she let me pick out two other soaps to exchange them for :)

Lush has an incredible return policy and they will most definitely let you exchange it for something else. I didn't even have my receipt with me for one of the items and they didn't bat an eyelash :)

It is exchangeable! Our number one priority (other than protecting our animal friends) is making sure the customer is satisfied. If you have your receipt, you should be able to do a full return. Without a receipt, you should get store credit or an exchange.

Much love,
Your local Lush SA.

this is just a wild guess, but i'm wondering if maybe the glitter in the love soap scratched you a bit? i was so nervous about that when i heard it had glitter in it and figured it'd probably be a rough soap.. do you have any problems using other soaps with exfoliants in it? (even if the glitters not suppose to be one) like porridge or figs and leaves?
