Sorry, multi-fannish here, so forgive the fandom cross-overness

Find as many parallels as possible:

Severus Snape
Owen Harper
Reid Oliver

Wow.

You are brilliant.

Especially in the case of Severus Snape.

We're just going to completely ignore that he's been an asshole for all seven books. Now that we're going to kill him, we can give him the heart o'gold he never wanted.

Pfft.

I hate the Hughes family. Their treatment of Luke was disgusting in this episode.

That's all Reid was apparently a plot device. Something to give Luke a storyline but ultimately he was a walking heart for Chris so him and the Hughes could have their happily ever after.

Dear Writers,

That's what I don't get, Chris is a type of character that is a dime a dozen he's nothing new or unique at least to me.

Reid is. He was refreshing type of character especially in a show like ATWT which is riddled (again IMO) with recylced characters and overreaching plots. It was nice to have Reid point out the stupidity of it all. He was snarky, honest to a fault, fun, and freaking loved sandwiches!

What did Chris do to compare to all that?

It was either: Internalized homophobia that was unintentionally amazingly offensive, blatant homophobia that was intentionally amazingly offensive, or a bizarre dream I had in which crazed Noah fans wrote brutal revenge!fic and filmed it.

INORITE!?!?!?!?!

Cause I was all OMG they hate me as a LGBT person and this is so deliberately brutal and then I was reading some comments, and I was like: OK, now LuRe fandom is our safe place and sometimes we get pretty offensive with our SCREW THAT NOAH and CHRIS SHOULD DIE IN A FIRE, and then I was all like, well maybe that's it! TPTB are all OMG that Noah is just so amazing and I can't believe that Luke would leave him for that horrible doctor, and we'll fix him that stupid little so and so. And that totally makes the whole scenario make sense to me, and I can find it funny and not holy jesus, can they really hate me so fucking much?

maybe d - all of the above??

it's kind of fitting, actually, the way the writers used reid as a means of keeping chris alive and the way they used the gay characters to get people to care about the show. and now that they don't need them anymore, it's pretty much "FU luke, reid, noah" and back to business as usual. pathetic.
