"Well to be fair you asked me to by a present for an ass hole. So I just googled ass hole and this came up. But he looks happy with the chocolates."

"I asked if you could by Chris a present." Luke said annoyed. "I am just glad he apparently doesn't get your joke".

"You say potato..... Well he isn't really that smart anyway. By the way I bought us a box to. Do you want to eat ass holes with me tonight. They are real Belgium praline".

Luke just laughed. "I am taking back the gift shopping activities from now on.".
He gave Reid a small kiss on his cheek. "Is it weird that I can not stop smiling just because you want to share your food with me".

"Do not count on that happening again anytime soon. But you should be rewarded for figuring out my joke. Hank did to. He gave me a secret thumbs up just know, But I am not sharing my ass holes with him."

"Glad to hear that. Let's go home early."

The fight

Luke and Reid have a fight. Subsequently, Luke is all worried that they're over, but Reid assures him that differing opinions are okay and that, you know, it's actually a good thing they're not morphing into the same person and stuff.

This idea has been rooting around in my head for literally years, but I know I'm never gonna get around to writing it. So, here it is. Hopefully, it will strike someone's fancy:

Reid actually does lose his license that day in Dallas. It should be filled with angst: Reid's loss of purpose, his sadness, the fact that he won’t want Luke to see that side of him. Maybe Luke helps him get his license back or helps him realize he's much more than just a doctor. There's also lotsa UST because the first kiss can't happen as it did in canon. There also can't be any Noah's surgery because Reid doesn't have his license, so that can play into the drama somehow. Maybe some H/C goes on and a new first kiss, etc.

Hi, not that it's finished, but I started to write a story about Reid who is suspended and an alcoholic. He doesn't know Luke yet. It's going to take a while before they actually kiss. I don't knw what UST means or H/C. Here's thee link if you want to join the ride (it;s on the fff site too):

Glad you like it, though I really can't take all the credit. alissablue and sleeper6 were just as involved in thinking up fun ideas. :) I just happen to be posting them sometimes.
