They're creatures. Will-o'-the-wisps. They appear in bogs and marshes and lure unwary travelers to their deaths.

Nasty, but easily defeated in a game of mind over matter.

What's a hinkypunk?

A dark creature. Also known as a will-o'-the-wisp. They live in bogs and whatnot, and they lure mentally unwary travelers to drown themselves. Pretty, but not very humanitarian.

Little luminescent balls of light. Attached to little brown creatures which hop on one leg to move. You wouldn't see the creature unless you got too close for comfort, though, and they won't let you. Nasty little buggers.
