So I just read "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" and it felt like coming home. This is, of course, the result of the genius decision to have commentary from Dumbledore for each fairytale. OH MY GOD DUMBLES, COULD YOU BE ANY MORE BADASS? ♥ Being you, you probably could.

These sections are the purest pleasure the book has to offer - Dumbledore has always ( Read more... )

"... and it felt like coming home."

THIS. EXACTLY THIS.

Words cannot describe the EPICNESS that the book is. I love it SOOOO much. <33333

Also... I have this art piece as a follow up to that one in my head where Hogwarts tries to stage The Fountain of Fair Fortune during Scorpius' sixth year, and he gets to be the Knight, and Lucius is all, "GODDAMN IT" and Draco's all, "LOLOL. YES. SCORE" XDDDDD LOLOLOL

Peace,
Rotae

I'm glad I'm not the only dork who felt that way. Ahhhh.

HAHA THAT WOULD BE EPIC. And Rose would of course be the witch he marries xD And All the Weasleys would show up for the production and Arthur would just be all ":DDDD" and Lucius would be ">:(((((" And Dumbledore would be lol'ing somewhere in the beyond.

Haha, it was sooo in character. It would be especially funny if the commentaries were meant just for himself.

I loved reading Beedle and I agree, very much coming home. Dumbledore's commentary was perfect, and I love the extra snippets about Malfoy etc. Is it too much to ask her to keep writing in this world??

IKR. The only thing I didn't like was how short it was :(

MOAR. She should write, like, Dumbledore's diary or something.

The book feels as if Mrs.Rowling really wants to talk more about the books, and she knows her fans want as well, so she tried to sneak some small bits of information about characters we know into it whenever she could. It makes the whole book feel like an inside joke between her and "us". ^_^
