I'm taking advantage of the slightly-warmer weather this week to do some of the things I've been putting off. I finally got my car's oil changed this afternoon. I'll get a haircut and renew my passport either Wednesday or Thursday. The passport expires next week, and I'd like to have a photo without Doc Brown hair.

I really want to get back into doing improv. The Bovine Metropolis Theater, where I took courses back in 2003-2004, had its annual pre-Thanksgiving dinner/party Wednesday night. Snow began falling again on Monday. The roads were just a little wet when I drove to a meeting tonight, then snow-packed (but not icy) on the drive home. A couple of errands I need to run will have to wait until Wednesday or Thursday when it will be sunny again.

The reduced amount of daylight during Fall/Winter tends to lower my energy level. It's only 8:50 PM as I'm typing this, but it feels like it's after midnight. Thinking about next year's vacations in Dallas and Grenada makes me even more anxious about the winter ( Read more... )

I forgot to bring to work a list of the days I worked during the KRCC drive. I entered a number of shifts into the time card system, wildly guessing which ones I worked, but I forgot to enter the hours for one weekend. Thankfully, the total number of hours for the half-month was only one hour shy of my actual work hours ( Read more... )

I forgot to submit a time card last week. I need to add the hours I worked to the current time card. The station's membership drive starts next Monday, so all the extra hours will give my account a boost at the end of the month.

My cold went away last night. I still have some leftover congestion, but I'm slowly getting rid of that.

There's still snow on the walkway to my condo, though it's melted on the roads and the sunny side of the buildings. I shoveled my porch and part of the walkway. I found a couple of poop piles on the walkway, likely from a neighbor's dachshund.

I woke up Saturday with a cold.  I thought it was almost over Sunday night, but I became sleepy early and had to miss Radiolawn, The Rabbit Hole and Doggy Radio.  I'm hoping the cold goes away by Tuesday night since most of my colds last from 1-4 days.  I'm also glad I didn't have a repeat of 2010 when I lost my voice for a few weeks ( Read more... )
