My cold went away gradually today. I'm currently drinking water to soothe my dry, scratchy throat. Thankfully, the weather this weekend will be in the 60s and maybe low-70s.

I actually did well during the bowling meet Friday. For the most part, I managed to avoid hooking the ball to the left. I think using a slightly-heavier ball (14-15 pounds?) helped keep my arm from going wild. My scores were 111, 126 and 133. I got a long-overdue haircut on Thursday.

There was very light rain falling when I drove home from my parents' house tonight. I heard there are a few road closures in the mountains due to snow. More snow is expected in Colorado Springs between tonight and Monday or Tuesday. Later tonight, I'm headed to Denver for a furry bowling meet.

Well, so much for my plans today. Winter decided to take an encore. I have 2-3 inches of snow on my porch, and some of the highways had been closed due to heavier snow. The high will be in the mid to upper-40s tomorrow. I'll be sure to get a haircut and pick up my medication refill before a couple of get-togethers Thursday night.

My lower lip is still a bit swollen, but it looks much more like a healthy human lip now. The scabs that formed on it over the past few days are gone now. I've switched to bandages to cover the healing part because my skin had an allergic reaction to the gauze ( Read more... )

The temperature in Colorado Springs actually reached 71 degrees today. The rest of this week will be in the 60s, then drop into the 40s next week. Last year around this date, I was at Furry Fiesta in Dallas and surprised by a snowstorm. I'll take one of my winter blankets off of my bed before going to sleep tonight. The weather has warmed to spring levels and should remain warmer for at least a week. I've also lowered the thermostat a degree or two during warmer dayparts. I've been reluctant to get out of bed lately because it's just so warm!
