Needlenose stared at the stasis tubes and thought to himself, Oh God, no. Just no. I'm not going in there, and I won't see the men... my men in there, either. They were his now. Thunderwing was dead, and Spinister was too out of hit to take command. He had not even needed to do anything to take Thunderwing down. The Pretender's obsession had done it to him

Goes nicely with Caring Needlenose up there. You really should write out the whole post-Matrix Quest story for these guys. Needlenose has such a cool character arc but it never really pays off after he surrenders to Prime [because, of course, Prime is the end of all things, meh].
Like Needlenose's attitude. A lot of the time people write TFs, especially Decepticons, and forget the self-confidence that it must take for them to simply keep on living, let alone leading. It's good to see Needlenose fitting in with his arc here, showing that confidence in himself as a manipulator after getting his chops as a warrior.
Needlenose's perspective on Prime and Hot Rod is a good point too, always good to remember that the 'cons don't just see the Autobots as a homogenous mass of targets.
Yeah, this is meant to occur prior to Caring Needlenose. I would have to decide on where I want them to end up. They aren't around in G2, but they could easily be off on a mission. They could also be honeymooning on Hydrus 3. They could also be dead. I have options.
Needlenose tries to fit in, He has pretty good people skills, when he isn't being a weenie (and he's certainly not here).
I's a civil war, especially for the Marvel folks, who aren't divided as strictly along build lines. Needlenose could have easily been an Autobot, and who knows, maybe Hot Rod could have been a Decepticon, if the cards had fanned out differently. It's people on the other side, not faceless enemies.
They could even be off shooting G2ers who gate-crashed their mission-come-honeymoon and wind up dead.
Having survived Mayhem boot, getting into a relationship with his instructor, Thunderwing going bonkers and existing in the general vicinity of Bludgeon, I don't think he can be called a weenie any more.
Needlenose probably would have been an Autobot if Optimus Prime hadn't been a twit about things, and then he probably would've been mauled by the Decepticon air force. I doubt it's a coincidence that the 'cons have lots of jets and the 'bots only few. Decepticon Hot Rod would be ... Wildrider?
Unless Flame got ahold of them, but then they'd always be getting into fights with Impactor.
Needlenose's old artist friends? There is likely some incredulity there that he made Mayhem, yes.
It's also Luna-fanon. It's a pretty obvious idea, and I know I didn't get it from you. I got it from thinking, "Tornado is Vosian. Tornado looks a bit like a Seeker. Tornado is a good name for a jet. Starscream is Vosian. He is a jet and a Seeker. Vosian refugees mostly joined the Decepticons. There are many Decepticon jets and Seekers. Maybe Vos was full of jets." That, and I've seen the idea in other fics written by authors who don't read your work. Not a big logical leap.
Now, if your Emirate Xaaron was Tarnish by manufacture, that would be something. (He looks like Megatron! He turns into a tank. He's ruthless, cruel, and manipulative when he has to be. Son of golden Iacon, my afterburners.)
Hot Rod strikes me as bit too likely to either want to... branch out or to be in a commited single relationship to be a good harem member.

Nooo, no, he can't.
I suspect it also has to do with Megatron galvanising most of the Vosian refugees into Decepticons.
Wildrider without the forcefields, so likely more sly and nasty.

Although his old friends might not know that yet.
Vos being the source of most jets is Koi-fanon ;)
Yeah, that could work. And Motormaster gets another member for his carem.

True, true, very true. And then Needlenose will probably have to kill someone for not taking him seriously.
Agreed.
He is.
Yeah, but is Motormaster going to take no for an answer? ;)

He isn't a combat artist, though, so it'll be terribly outre of him.
...he is?
Motormaster doesn't have the Battlechargers.

All combat art is combat, but not all combat is art ...
Yup. Right there in the Koipedia, along with a bunch of typos.
Can you prove that? ;)
