This macabre Kate Bush enactment of her song Wedding List from some Christmas special (jesus were kids watching??) it certainly is a performance that packs a punch
omg! that was the first footage/performance of kate bush i'd ever seen but jesus that was awesome!! i want more now!!! i've never really heard any of her music. but that was amazing.
Really if you want more then I will post you some of my favourite songs later...I have all of her CD's around me right now because I am reentering my reobsessed stage...
and the only good music is old music, I love the history there the experience of listening to the band's entire back catalogue...really getting inside soomething for a little while you know good stuff...
The buzz when Bush's debut album, 'The Kick Inside' came out, was amazing. No-one had heard anything like her. I was maybe 14 at the time, got a crappy home-taped cassette of it and listened to it again and again and again. She was a true innovator, and when you consider that some of her strongest stuff was written when she herself was a young teenager, it was extraordinary. I can remember hearing her interviewed on the radio after TKI launch, and couldn't believe that such an outlandish performer could have such an ordinary speaking voice, lol! There are some sound new groups coming up these days, but I don't think KB has ever been matched in terms of genuine originality.

Never had much time for Japan myself, although I seem to recall their cover of "Second that Emotion" was pleasing enough at the time.
Who next, retro-girl?

I adores Japan so much especially the art of parties I have been singing it at work all night to get me through...
