I am infatuated already as you know with rooting out pictures of silent movie actresses for the unmistakable marvel of the images that appear. Always dramatic expressions, showy makeup/costumes, classic images. For this reason I have slid into an obsesh withTheda Bara.

I know right I want skeleton pictures now.

I think she really is a bit of a goth icon I mean if she isn't there is no sense in the world. Most of the old goth dressing up was based around her and the other vamps of silent era, black makeup and clothes and vampirism for instance clearly derived from those images.

She is, I made a post about that aaaaaaaaaages ago. V influential on the early goth bands (Nico, Siouxsie, Bauhaus, Kate Bush, etc) and on Bolan who was there before them.
