I got nothin'

- Someone, possibly in Austin, ganged up my car. There's a hood tag written in Sharpie on the passenger side front door of the ChickWagon. My hope is that other local thugs will follow suit, transforming my beat-up ride into a graffed-up masterpiece, but I'm not entirely confident in that hope ( Read more... )

The most expensive article of clothing I own that was bought within the past year is this fancy skirt that was about $100, I think. I would never pay that much for something: Al bought it for me so I would have something to wear to his work holiday party. I think the most expensive thing I've bought for myself, like some of the other commenters here, would either be a pair of Doc Martens, or my leather biker jacket, both of which were purchased many many moons ago and are still around, so they were probably worth the $100 or $150 that I spent at the time.

Although I am kind of a clothes horse and have more articles of clothing than one girl should have, I rarely spend more than thirty dollars on one item. Even shoes. Although I've been contemplating purchasing a new suit, so I'm pretty sure that will set me back more than thirty.

The dance costumes, at roughly $500 plus per.

Next up, a $250 wig. But oh, what a wig.

Everyone else is more concerned with talking about expensive threads. But living in Cobb County, GA, I couldn't resist talking about the "gun requirement." Keep in mind that it's only in Kennesaw (a city in Cobb County), and that there are no punishments for NOT keeping a gun. Which is good, since I'll never own one, even if we move across the city line.

And Cobb County is the same one that's known nationally for putting the stupid "evolution is just a theory" stickers in science textbooks, as you probably know from watching Penn and Teller's BS. In Atlanta, Cobb County is generally known for being REALLY intolerant and Republican (as opposed to the rest of GA, which is only really intolerant in lower case letters, or as opposed to Midtown, which is really gay and constantly afraid).

Anyway, I didn't have a point here. I guess I'm just saying, "Hey, look at me! I live right next to that crazy place!"

Um, I forgot that I'm posting anonymously. The last post (and this one) were both made by me, Bill @ http://pushthepulldoor.com

I'm a cheap motherfucker when it comes to clothes, so probably the most expensive things that I own are my handbags. Two of them cost over $300 each, which isn't quite in Skaris Hilton territory but means fewer martinis for me, and lord knows I need my martinis.

I have a lot of "wasted money" stories, such as handbags not yet carried, suits not yet worn, leather coats lost in Manhattan along with matching gloves, things like that.
