[Pao-lin had blacked out in the middle of passing out extra food cans to people in the tunnels.

She woke up on her back on the roof of CH7, staring up at a stormy-looking sky, gray and dark.

...she's alive.

Curiously, she sits up, and winces as her body grumbles in protest. Her muscles are sore, which makes sense considering all the running around she did the past few days, and her wings are not exactly happy with her either, probably because she's been lying on her back on the hard roof for who knows how long.

She's alive. And judging from the people she sees walking around below from her perch on high, everyone else is, too.

Overhead, lightning flashes as Pao-lin grins and closes her eyes in relief.

Potential death penalty? She doesn't seem to have one, as far as she can tell, but she'll deal with that later. For now, this escape with imminent destruction needs to be celebrated.

And so, around noon and leading into the afternoon, the citizens of Luceti will find a girl dressed like this giving out all sorts of candy in the ( ... )

[After waking up from a dreadful nightmare, Leon walked around the plaza; his destination being the store no less.
He sees this oddly dressed person holding candy out to people. Much to his knowledge, the store should still be giving free candy. ... Unless it was destroyed or something. He checked to make sure. ... Nope. Not destroyed. There's no way they'd make anyone pay, so why is this person handing out candy when people can just go to the store?

He approached her with question buzzing through his mind.]

Why are you handing out candy?

[Basing it off some tradition. Leon finds this to be redundant.
He looks down at the small candy and looked back at her again.]

Candy from the store is free; everything here is free. You're wasting your time.

WELL FINE THEN, DON'T GET ANY CANDY FROM THE CUTE HERO CHICK. THAT'S JUST MORE CANDY FOR HER TO GIVE TO PEOPLE WHO AREN'T SPOILSPORTS.

With a huff, Pao-lin stalks away in the opposite direction, fully intent on handing out the goods to folks who will actually appreciate the gesture.]

[On the other side of the roof, there's an unconscious kid in blue armor; one that had been down in the shelters along with her.

After the lightning flashed overhead, the following rumble of thunder causes him to awaken with a loud gasp and a start. He flies forward to a sitting position, priming his Mega Buster and looking around in a confused daze.]

[Pao-lin's already up on her feet by the time Mega Man wakes up, but she doesn't notice him until he speaks.]

Oh, Mega Man! Are you okay? [She runs over to him.]

[He slowly, wearily, pushes himself to his feet.]

We're on the roof of community housing seven. [Another glance over at the view below.] And...I guess the moon didn't really crash into Luceti after all.

But all the earthquakes. That loud roar before everything went dark? ...And how did we get up here, anyway?

[She yawns and stretches.]

Well, I read in the Luceti guide that when people die in Luceti, they get revived and sent back here, but they usually lose something. Sometimes it's a body part or a sense, but it can be memories, too. [She looks over herself, moving her limbs a bit creakily.] I'm sure I have all my senses, and I'm not missing any body parts, and I...I don't think I'm missing any memories either. And if you're not missing anything...

[She smiles an awkward-yet-happy smile.]

Then that means we didn't actually die!

Yup! Let's go see if we can celebrate Halloween today! [She frowns as she looks down at her dirty, sweaty clothes from the past few days.] Though...I need to take a shower, ugh.
