Rise is too friendly, but not in the manner that Hubert suspects her much, if at all. Paranoid as he is about two-faced people, he's fairly certain that Rise does mean well (especially after she helped him as a child), though he has his qualms about her style of dress now and then. When it boils down to it, his overall impression of her is on the neutral, but positive, end.

She's more of a passing acquaintance than anything at this point. If given the chance, he'll take the opportunities to talk to her and get to know her better. Doesn't hurt to know decent people, right? And straighten out a couple things, as well as issue her an apology for being so clingy and useless at the party. So embarrassing.

JUST SO YOU KNOW, THAT ICON IS THE MOST ADORABLE THING.

Hubert's impression of Pao-lin isn't as complicated as the other way around. From the moment she declared that she was a Hero, he was instantly hooked, and almost instantly a fan -- hearing more about her line of work got that job done. While she isn't a part of a sentai, which is his absolute favorite aspect of heroes, what she does is still admirable and a great thing. For that, she has his utmost respect and attention whenever she desires it. Yup, he's already whipped. One of these days, he'll ask her for her autograph ( ... )

EVERYTHING WITH PAO-LIN IS THE MOST ADORABLE THING, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. (This is the full picture it came from. I kinda love it for how drunk Kotetsu is and how blankly awkward Barnaby is. XD Also, bonus Yuri drinking by himself on the right side of the background. Poor Luna-tan.)

I was actually really curious about how Hubert's hero worship affected his views on/relationship to Pao-lin, so I'm glad to hear you mention that. Oh yeah, he is so whipped. |D I suspected that it simultaneously drew him to her (YOU ARE A HERO, THIS AUTOMATICALLY MAKES YOU AWESOME) and also distanced him (still can't get past the OMG A HERO phase, even after seeing her "weaker" moments in the tunnels and then later seeing what a tomboy she is). Like I said over in my own thread, Pao-lin has some inkling that he's a fan of that sort of thing in general, but she'd probably be really (pleasantly!) surprised to find that he's a fan of her specifically, particularly because she doesn't think she's done anything that impressive in Luceti so far. Really, ( ... )

FINE, SHE'S EXTRA ADORABLE IN THAT PICTURE. (I didn't even notice Yuri at first. Drunk Kotetsu and awkward Barnaby are the second best thing after Pao-lin's cuteness, hehe.)

That hero worship completely overshadows the relationship, it had to be brought up. /sob But you've basically nailed it! . . . no, Pao-lin, you can't call him that, he's going to call you "sempai" instead. ;u; All the respect ever. She got it easy and lucked out, considering how paranoid and cold he can be otherwise.

I want it to be 2012 so that I can get my localized copy of the game, ahh. All you need to know is that he was butthurt over what his father did seven years ago. He's so fortunate that Pao-lin's that way because he tries to skirt around those topics. I guess he can always use pizza to take her attention away when he needs to. :|a

FFFFFF you were in a dress earlier, what happened?? That's implying if he was ever manly . . .

Yeah, I definitely missed seeing Yuri until someone else pointed it out to me. I suppose he'd want it to be that way. Appropriately enough, our Yuri is still on hiatus...or so I'm assuming 'cause I haven't seen him around...c'mon, Yuri, you know you want to paint the Voice of Thanatos on the mural!

She got it easy and lucked out, considering how paranoid and cold he can be otherwise.

No kidding! And she likely wouldn't have any idea of how good she has it with him for a while.

Isn't the localized version of the game PS3-only? I don't even have my own Wii or 360, damn, never mind a PS3. D: Food will always been an attention-getter for Pao-lin! At least until she dies in Luceti and loses her sense of taste for about four months. I may or may not be a cruel mun. /whistles innocently

SHE HAD TO SCRUB AWAY ALL OF THAT ICKY LACY ESTROGEN, OKAY. Hence, cross-dressing. The perfect solution to...things! Or something.

. . . if that was painted on the mural it'd be kind of depressing to see each time someone passed it and knew what it was about. Oh, Yuri.

Mm-hmm; it's okay, I will virtually share my PS3 with you. ;3; Oh. That is indeed cruel. How will she live without her sense of taste, I can already feel the agony oozing from her.

The perfection solution to removing estrogen overload, clearly.

Virtual sharing is a go~! If I ever get to do the Kill Bill-inspired mallynap plot that's been stewing in my brain for a while, it would be Pao-lin losing her sense of taste as a death penalty on top of being responsible for the deaths of at least two of her castmates, thanks to some Malnosso mindgooshing that has her ( ... )

. . . this is all so intense, I want to see it happen next year. Malnosso, you are all so horrible.

Also, for some reason I really like the sound of "Bride-lin," h-haa.

HE WILL DEFINITELY BE THERE, OR AT LEAST TRY TO BE, BECAUSE NO HERO DESERVES THIS TRAUMA.

Hubert rather likes the way Naoto's mind seems to work, though he has very little to say about her as a person. But because they share a fair amount of opinions and thoughts, he wouldn't mind getting to know her more. At the same time, he's not ready to dish out his trust despite their similarities. Actually, you could say that it's the similarities that are holding him back. Nevertheless, he appreciates her suspicions and dissections regarding information on Luceti and the Organization. If there's someone he can totally openly voice his doubts about the Malnosso with, and in a professional manner, Naoto is his ideal choice.

She appears to be good friends with Rise, too, so that's another incentive . . . except not really, because he's neutral toward the both of them, but hey, it never hurt to work on social circles. He'd gladly play detective with her if he was presented the opportunity.
