Was that really all right? The ship didn't belong to them, after all, and they had already put Touma through enough trouble. Will wasn't sure if Norrington wanted to help them in their endeavors, but he figured he, Jack, and Elizabeth would be working to find some solution.
Getting someone foreign involved in the whole affair probably wouldn't be the best idea. He didn't want to force Touma to do anything that would put him in danger that wasn't really his problem to begin with.
"We can't just use his ship," he protested, glancing from Elizabeth to Jack and then sighing. "And how many people could fit in there, anyway?" he asked, looking over at the strange contraption with a tilt of the head.
“I’d say about eight, give or take the fact that there be about that many seats in there,” Jack interjected. Seeing that he didn’t want to emphasize the point that he was actually looking at the seat and had thought about it prior to the question, he made sure to add his little vague clause. “If I were to take a guess meself.”
The Captain cleared his throat in order to seem a little less obvious. To give them a sense that he had a plan, without having much of a plan or hinting about a true plan at all-that was the plan! “As for me idea, I have wind of a key. A key that could very well solve all our problems! We get this key, we get what we want.” All the black inkies would be gone. Elizabeth and Sir William would get their plain peaceful port living, Norrington would.. Have fresh air, Sir Not-so-Frenchman would be rid of the lot of them, and Jack his key.
“We just have to have a way in which to go about searching for this..key.”
"A key," Norrington echoed dubiously. "The Royal Navy was unable to save Port Royal from its fate, but a key is going to be our miracle solution." He shook his head.
The pirate's idea still didn't sound particularly reliable or even logical. Neither Elizabeth nor Turner seemed deterred by that, however.
Norrington crossed his arms, glancing at Jack. "A way? I presume you already know where to find this key or at least where to begin searching for it."
Even the stranger agreed to the use of his flying ship and Jack Sparrow's idea brought the desired solution, it wouldn't do much good to set out in search of a mysterious key without any knowledge of where that search would take them.
Key.... Touma's breath caught when he heard that. Could Jack have referred to the Keyblade Quatre told him about? If it were true, he might not mind as much letting the group travel with him - not that he would've refused in the first place if it came to life or death. No one, not even the pirate who stole Tenku from him, deserved that fate.
"Are you referring to the Keyblade?" Touma eyed Jack, skeptical that the older man would really be able to wield such a weapon. At least, from the looks Norrington gave Jack, the archer wasn't the only one wary of the pirate's information.
