Jan opened the door on his way outside to practise his shooting and found that he'd almost hit the back of a man sitting on the stairs, blocking the way.

"Excuse me," he asked a little sharply - after all what sort of behaviour was this? "Do you really think this is a good place to sit?"

Loki tilted his head back to look up at the man

"Mmh," he said around a mouthful of cigarette. "'s very nice."

He took the cigarette between his fingers, blew a mouth full of smoke into the air, and went on: "Nice and warm, too. You should try it yourself some time."

"I'm sure," Jan said sarcastically. "It's also blocking the door, though. What do you expect the rest of us to do? Walk over you? You probably wouldn't find that comfortable."

"How about around me?" Loki asked. "I'm not that wide."

He glanced up again.

"And neither are you."

"I tripped over the stairs, I wasn't watching where I was going and Fella..."

He blinked at the animal, who was resting in the grass appearing for all to see as an innocently adorable bunny.

Raphael sighed. "Never mind, I'm a klutz."

"Ah," Loki said, "never mind." He patted the stairs next to him. "Sit if you want to. They're nice and warm."

"And the next person who passes through in a hurry is likely to trip over you," Jan added with a glare.

"Let's all sit!" Raphael practically squealed. "It would be fun! We can sit on the steps and enjoy this wonderful weather and discuss Monopoly! Do you play? It's such a fun game!"

"He hadn't told me that," Raphael said with a frown. But then, with everything going on when, exactly, should Michael have told him? Before they force-fed him? After they patched his shoulders when he hacked his wings off? "How is he planning to do it this time?" he asked kindly.

"This time?" Loki asked with a hint of annoyance. "You mean he tried before and failed? Darn! He seemed to competent and sure about it!"

"Well in his defense it wasn't his fault it was a failure," he said truthfully. And he certainly wasn't going to point fingers. "It was averted and then the Anti-Christ declared that we were not allowed to mess around with how things were." At least, that was his understanding of it. Aziraphale didn't really tell him anything anymore and it made him sad.

"The Anti-who?" Loki asked. "Sounds like from some science fiction movie. "Why's he able to tell you want to do or not to do?"

He frowned slightly.

"And then how precisely is he going to do it this time around if he's not allowed to mess with things?"

"That's because I'm here," Raphael explained. "Fella trusts me."

Loki forced a smile. "Trust is a dangerous thing, bunny," he said. "He might decide to eat you any moment."

He swinted down at the little animal. "Then again, maybe not. You're too scrawny to eat."

Raphael gasped in horror. "I... I would never eat him!" The very idea made him frown sadly and hug his animal protectively.

"You know that," Loki said. "He can't. Trust is a dangerous thing to give. It's ruined people's lives before."
