"I tripped over the stairs, I wasn't watching where I was going and Fella..."

He blinked at the animal, who was resting in the grass appearing for all to see as an innocently adorable bunny.

Raphael sighed. "Never mind, I'm a klutz."

[norseloki]

"Ah," Loki said, "never mind." He patted the stairs next to him. "Sit if you want to. They're nice and warm."

"And the next person who passes through in a hurry is likely to trip over you," Jan added with a glare.

[halosphere]

"Let's all sit!" Raphael practically squealed. "It would be fun! We can sit on the steps and enjoy this wonderful weather and discuss Monopoly! Do you play? It's such a fun game!"

[norseloki]

"Never tried it," Loki admitted. "But it's never too late to learn, right?"

Oh, anything that had a likelihood of annoying the other guy even more without breaking the rules here was welcome!

[halosphere]

"I can teach you!" Oh making new friends was so wonderful! He sat beside Loki and patted the space at his other side. "Come on, Mr. Jan, sit with us! It's nice out!"

Jan glared at them, but other than resorting to violence he saw no way to make these two lunatics behave like normal people.

Feeling helpless and ashamed he returned into the house slamming the door behind him.

"I think," Loki said, "he was looking for a fight, not a game. Well - who cares. Oh, do you want one?"

He offered his pack of cigarettes to Raphael.

[halosphere]

"Wait, Jan! Don't leave! It doesn' have to be Monopoly! I'm good at Checkers too! And sword fighting!" Raphael pouted and slumped on the steps. He looked at the offered cigarette. "No thank you." Why do I do that? Why do I keep driving people away...?

He fished in his pocket for a Pez despenser. "Pez?" he offered.

[norseloki]

"Don't bother with him," Loki advised as he took a Pez. "He doesn't seem to like people who enjoy the sun."

He turned the sweet in his fingers. "What do you do with it? Chew it? Swallow it whole? Or what?"

"You can chew on it or suck on it." He placed a candy in his mouth, chewing a little. He glanced over his shoulder, wondering if the other man would return. "He was really upset..." Raphael said quietly. But actually, it was indeed a beautifully sunny day, the kind of day one would lay out and stretch their wings in the warmth.

"Never mind him," Loki said. "It he's half as stiff and boring as he seemed the only thing he'll be good for will be to play pranks on him."

He stretched languidly. It was almost a shame to destroy a world that had days like this.

[halosphere]

Raphael decided not to comment, he didn't like to think bad things about others. It was bad enough he had accused Belial. He chewed on some Pez, contemplating for a moment.

[norseloki]

"So," Loki said, "What takes you to this place? What are you, anyway?"

[halosphere]

"I'm... I was an angel," he said, shuffling uncomfortably. He didn't answer the other question. "So uhm, what exactly did I interrupt?"

[norseloki]

"Him, berating me for sitting in the sun," Loki drawled. "Nothing important, really."

An angel, eh?

"You familiar with that Michael fellow? Or Aziraphale?"
