Jan opened the door on his way outside to practise his shooting and found that he'd almost hit the back of a man sitting on the stairs, blocking the way.
"Excuse me," he asked a little sharply - after all what sort of behaviour was this? "Do you really think this is a good place to sit?"
"Mmh," he said around a mouthful of cigarette. "'s very nice."
He took the cigarette between his fingers, blew a mouth full of smoke into the air, and went on: "Nice and warm, too. You should try it yourself some time."
"I'm sure," Jan said sarcastically. "It's also blocking the door, though. What do you expect the rest of us to do? Walk over you? You probably wouldn't find that comfortable."
"Let's all sit!" Raphael practically squealed. "It would be fun! We can sit on the steps and enjoy this wonderful weather and discuss Monopoly! Do you play? It's such a fun game!"
"He hadn't told me that," Raphael said with a frown. But then, with everything going on when, exactly, should Michael have told him? Before they force-fed him? After they patched his shoulders when he hacked his wings off? "How is he planning to do it this time?" he asked kindly.
"Well in his defense it wasn't his fault it was a failure," he said truthfully. And he certainly wasn't going to point fingers. "It was averted and then the Anti-Christ declared that we were not allowed to mess around with how things were." At least, that was his understanding of it. Aziraphale didn't really tell him anything anymore and it made him sad.

He glanced up again.
"And neither are you."

He blinked at the animal, who was resting in the grass appearing for all to see as an innocently adorable bunny.
Raphael sighed. "Never mind, I'm a klutz."

He frowned slightly.
"And then how precisely is he going to do it this time around if he's not allowed to mess with things?"

He swinted down at the little animal. "Then again, maybe not. You're too scrawny to eat."
