21st Gryffindor Note [Voice / Action for housemates]

[It's early afternoon at this point when Hermione sits down at the dining room table and opens her journal. It's started recording as soon as she tells it to, but the sound of something near the door distracts her.]

[There's a little shuffling as she goes to shut the door and then sits back down in her chair. A little more

[After hearing the yell, he'll come out and take a look at the commotion. WTF, there is suddenly a familiar cat here.]

How did he get here?

[ She looks up from her armful of fluffy cat/kneazle with a grin. ]

I don't know. I just looked down and there he was. I'm not sure what it means. Raine mentioned Catherine said something about pets turning up, but I didn't think... they'd be real.

[He does smile back. It's awesome she got her pet back. But...]

So pets are turning up all over the place like he did?

[loyalotter]

I don't know. I haven't seen any others.

[She lets Crookshanks down and he pads out of the room. There's a kind of sympathetic look in her eyes. They're both wondering about Hedwig.]

[Action!]

[And a blonde head pokes out of the kitchen at that yell. Despite not being a Gryffindor, Luna does indeed know that name.]

Did you step on him?

No! I didn't know he was here until just now! [She's got an armful of cat that she shows to Luna.] I'd heard pets might be turning up, but I never imagined they'd come this soon.

Is that so? [Luna's got a long smudge of flour across one cheek and some chocolate powder on her forehead - it's possibly for the best if Hermione doesn't look in the kitchen right now. And, being Luna, she has to reach out and prod the cat curiously just a bit in the side.]

Has he always looked something like the root of a Bolivian fireplant?

[She's not sure she wants to know about any of that, Bolivian fireplant included.]

He's half-Kneazle. I think he takes after that side in looks more than a cat.

[There's a slightly confused sound because what the hell, Granger, you sound like a real girl for once.]

...Crookshanks. [It's more or less a statement than a question, since he's not entirely sure he knows who or what a Crookshanks is.]

[It'll never happen again, don't worry. And it's a good hour before she replies.]

Yes, Crookshanks. My cat. Well, he's really half-Kneazle. [She still sounds pretty delighted.]
