[It's early afternoon at this point when Hermione sits down at the dining room table and opens her journal. It's started recording as soon as she tells it to, but the sound of something near the door distracts her.]

[There's a little shuffling as she goes to shut the door and then sits back down in her chair. A little more

[After hearing the yell, he'll come out and take a look at the commotion. WTF, there is suddenly a familiar cat here.]

How did he get here?

[loyalotter]

[ She looks up from her armful of fluffy cat/kneazle with a grin. ]

I don't know. I just looked down and there he was. I'm not sure what it means. Raine mentioned Catherine said something about pets turning up, but I didn't think... they'd be real.

[cruxofapotter]

[He does smile back. It's awesome she got her pet back. But...]

So pets are turning up all over the place like he did?

[loyalotter]

I don't know. I haven't seen any others.

[She lets Crookshanks down and he pads out of the room. There's a kind of sympathetic look in her eyes. They're both wondering about Hedwig.]

Who's Catherine, by the way?

[Harry avoids her gaze, instead watching the cat make his way out of the room.]

One of the Malnosso. He's a little difficult to speak with considering he talks a lot and gets off track pretty easily, but he's been informative in a different way from ANI.

[cruxofapotter]

And he goes by Catherine? [What the hell.]

[loyalotter]

Apparently. [She shrugs, looking about as confused as he is.] That's what he asked us to call him.

[cruxofapotter]

That's really strange. [Malnosso will never make sense to him.] But at least Crookshanks turned up on your birthday!

[loyalotter]

I don't understand any of it, but I'm just glad he's here with me. I can't believe he turned up today of all days!
