20th Gryffindor Note [Voice/Action]

Aug 24, 2010 09:03

I'd like to apologise to anyone I spoke to last week. I seemed to have believed that magic didn't exist and probably confused and upset a great number of you. I feel normal again, and if anyone needs anything at all, particularly magic- [She says it with a hint of amusement in her voice.] -I'd be happy to do what I can. I hope none of you suffered ( Read more... )

I'm going to be okay. Thank you, Hermione. You don't have to worry.

You can't really see the Imperius Curse, so it's difficult to tell if someone's under its power, but the Cruciatus and Killing Curses are easy to see if you're watching them. It's hard to miss someone being tortured or killed.

The Imperius curse. How can you know if someone does something bad because of the spell? Couldn't it be because the person likes doing bad things?

[He flinches and pauses because of the way she talks about the other two spells.]

Yeah. You're right.

It's hard to tell. That's why it gave the Ministry so much trouble during the First Wizarding War... and why it will after this one, too. It's a matter of how well you know the person involved.

[Yeah, she understands. She spoke that way because she's seen them all in action, even had the Cruciatus Curse acted on her. Her torment level is pretty high by now.]

Are you all right?

That sounds really problematic. I'd be worried they'd arrest innocents. Is the Ministry good at finding the bad wizards?

[Although it shocks him when people talk like Hermione did, Tsuzuki understands that war can make people callous when it comes to certain things. Some brutalities can become so commonplace that it's easier to accept.]

Don't worry about me.

Or release known Death Eaters. [Grumble, grumble.] No, they're not. They're quite awful at it, honestly.

[It's more that she was trying to gloss over the worst parts rather than remember.]

If you say so.

They did what? Why?

[Ouch. Oh, Hermione. ;_;]

I do. I think you have too much on your mind already.

Because a lot of them came back claiming they'd been under the Imperius Curse. A lot of wealthy purebloods got off this way. You can imagine how. It disgusts me.

[Her life, man ;-;

Can you hear the smile in her voice, Tsuzuki?]

You sound like Harry. I'm going to worry anyway.

Mhm. If only there was some way to know if they told the truth or not.

[She's a strong little witch.

He feels better.]

Heh. In that case I should be allowed to return the favor.

There's a truth potion, but it's difficult to brew properly and who wants to wait on something like that? [Sarcasm: she is actually using it.

Aww, Tsuzuki. There's a smile in her voice when she continues.]

Consider it done, then.

I'd understand the hesitance if you could risk making an untruth-potion if you did it wrong. But if the only downside is the time it takes to make it, then I don't understand why people don't use it. I mean, it's logical.

[This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, etc. Tsuzuki wonders how Hisoka can argue so much with her when Hermione's so nice to talk to.]

Deal.

That's one of the things I intend to change. Ministry policies like that.

[Oh definitely. And Hermione's wondering how Tsuzuki can put up with Hisoka XD]

If I could vote you into the ministry, I would have. It sounds like they desperately could use having you there.

The ministry were I work is hopelessly archaic. You can't get anywhere unless you know someone powerful already.

[I suspect that putting Hermione, Draco, Harry, Ron and Hisoka in a room with Tsuzuki would result in disasters.]

I'll just have to make it happen anyway.

Ours is like that to a point, which is another reason I want to change it. It's rubbish that people can get into something so important just by who they know.

[Probably. Hilarious disasters for us, but it would end terribly for them.]
