Went out to help a friend celebrate his 20th birthday...and let me say now I did have an ace time :) Got talked into wearing heels, now I own some but don't generally wear them as at 5' 10" it does make me rather ridiculously tall, but I thought well why not. Ok, I've had enough now!
My hearing started to go at work on Monday and really went Tuesday...well ok slight exaggeration not totally gone but it sounds like I am hearing things through a bucket of water! Had to leave work early yesterday as started to feel rough too. Spoke to pharmacist and a nurse at the walk-in-clinic and it looks like its not wax or an ear infection ( Read more... ) -
London!!!
I'm getting a whole weekend off :) Am heading to London for the weekend on the 5th December for a friends 40th birthday celebrations...am looking forward to it and am also a little nervous at the same time. -
Feeling a bit sorry for myself
Our washing machine is in a cupboard in the bathroom, this is relevant as I managed to bang my head pretty hard on the door of the cupboard on Friday. Gave myself a huge lump (which has now gone down) but head is still sore and I seem to need to sit/lie down every now and then....mind you that could be the cold I started last Thursday :( Lets ( Read more... ) -
More gender identity ponderings...
Stayed up past my bedtime last night to watch the channel 4 documentary about children with gender identity problems. The youngest were two 8 year olds who wanted to have gender reassignment surgery (albeit in the case of one as long as it didn't hurt at all). Not a happy camper!
I am getting really pissed off now. Have been without a working washer/dryer for nearly 4 weeks and the drum to repair it is still out of stock! Even worse, I was told on Monday that the part was in and just awaiting allocation to an engineer....today I called to see if it had been allocated yet only to be told no it wasn't in and they had no ( Read more... ) -

Crash, thud, scream....
...went the sound of young possetpossum as she fell out of her bunk bed while trying to peep at her little sister on the lower bed (aka mattress on the floor). She hit her head on landing and as she had a lump the size of a cherry tomato at the base of her skull the out of hours doctor suggested that I take her to A&E.
