The little things...

I've heard it said you shouldn't live with your friends unless you're absolutely positive you're going to mesh well.

Going in for a complete stranger as a roommate is a gamble, but one that should be experienced at least once.

Steph is one of the best people I could've ever gotten, especially the first time out, because we're really similar.

However.

Yeah, when you have your own room to retreat to, it's much better, but like I said, something I felt I should do. Plus, other than tiny little random things, we get along really great, so. :D

sorry for writing a novel... evrymemry March 26 2009, 16:37:52 UTC
Yeah, all of my roommates/apartment-mates are people I met at Schreiner. My first roommate freshman year was a girl I met at freshman orientation, so we weren't complete strangers. It's fun, isn't it? And it can be a bit trying at times--Dorothy stayed up late on her computer, but she would turn the brightness down so it wouldn't keep me up.

And re Spring Awakening- good on the guys for being professional and doing the kissing. We had a scene in one play I helped on where two guys (briefly) kissed (it was more like a peck, but it was on the lips) and everyone started cheering and whistling.
Some people just... I dunno, it's kinda disturbing that they didn't respond as much to the rape scene as they did to the boy kissing.

Yeah, I'm kinda concerned about junior year -- next year I've got a room to myself, and I'll probably only need a room for a (fall) semester, and yeah it's in a year and a half, but I don't think I'd actually consider living with anyone I know right now, even for only four months. Like I said, it's not life or death, so I'll live. I'm the one that stays up in our room, though, lol

Re Spring Awakening - I know, I was so proud of them! There was a bit of nudity too, and I was told that a performance of Hair went with a lot of it, so they've got no shame 'round here.

Srsly? No response to rape but boykissing OMFGOHNOES.

Don't be sad about having no one in the same room to talk to during the summer months. Remember how our summer sleep cycles are the same? You can call me! :D
