Companion Posting Month
I was looking over the companion love meme and thought it might be fun to do something similar on a bigger scale - let people pick a companion and a posting date and get them to tell us what's so great about their chosen TARDIS traveller. I've run it past the mods of this community, and they said it was okay to run this here, if there's enough interest. So: anyone up for it? The rules are pretty simple:
- leave a comment here choosing a date in April and which companion you want. This can be anyone from the whole run of Doctor Who, 1963 to present day, the books, comics, audios, what have you - and don't worry about whether Benton or Katarina or Jackie is an official companion. If you think they count, that's good enough.
- on the date you've chosen, make a post pimping your companion. Tell us why they're awesome. Suggest a story that's a good starting place for someone who's never seen them before. You can do picspam, fic or vid recs, anything else you want that's going to promote them (although please bear in mind the community rules: it's not necessary to tear one character down to build another up. Oh, and no sexually explicit photos. Sorry, Jo-with-Dalek fans.)
- one person per companion: companions and dates go on a first come, first served basis.
