I visited Ireland for the first and only time during the first week of July 1999. I remember clearly that my sister's birding friend was excited because a Baltimore Oriole had been recently sighted in the village of Baltimore, the first known occurrence in Ireland. I love the high metal prices and low dollar. I went to the gas station with four bucks in my pocket to get a gallon to hold me over until payday. I accidentally put in $4.07. I saw what appeared to be a Mobius strip of steam about 1.5 meters long drifting over Mission before dissipating. Wish I had a camera with me at the time.
