Well, we fixed the computer. One restore later (and no lost data, thank the gods!) we are up and running. I found a trojan, which was likely the cause of the problems. I am spending the evening BACKING UP THE PIX and preparing for a move to my dad's old computer, which is vastly superior to what we have now. It's good to inherit things ( Read more... )

Something has broken my computer.... any Windows process is slower than slow and eventually causes the not enough memory errors. I'm thinking worm, but I can't get McAfee to run... yet. A couple of dozen passes on Ad-aware and I can check email and LJ, but after this it's back into troubleshooting hell. SO youwon't see me much until we either get ( Read more... )

Life is speeding along.....worked all weekend, got up early this am and had a "quad scale" which is a seriously deep cleaning that requires numbing the mouth (ouch). Had a nice evening at work training a new lead nurse, and came home to spend some time with John prior to bedtime ( Read more... )

Spent Thursday in a Union class where one classmate spent the entirety of the class whistling (while the speakers were talking) and tearing up a styrofoam cup (think nails on a chalkboard sound), and another took smoke breaks every 15 minutes and came back in wheezing and hacking.
