Icon Pairing Meme (Slight reprise)

Apr 08, 2012 18:24

So there's not much going on, and I couldn't resist retrying the meme using last names. Some couples stayed together despite the odds: Evie Eliott & Eowyn, Frobisher & Gandalf, Maddy & Maid Marian, and Servalan & Seven. The results were mostly much scarier than last time, but it did throw up some things that were amusing - and one or two I want ( Read more... )

I need a minion whom I can command to "see to it now"!

You should totally have a minion! Especially if you're going to get it/her/him to do things like that. Can they write okay, though?

I think Ace/Delgado Master could only end with her blowing him up. Quite possibly it would begin with her blowing him up.

Isn't Vicki's surname Pallister?

I don't accept the existence of Vicki's surname. I just about bow to pressure on Ace and Polly these days, but sometimes I won't give them surnames, either. I want at least two or more citations before I'll allow it. She doesn't have a canon surname, that's that until sufficient weight of spin-off stuff suggests otherwise. I am strange about some things. ;-)

Ace/Delgado Master... yeah. But then, Mc/Mac are alphabetised as the same thing, so she should really have Litefoot. And then they could just blow the Master up together.

Ace's full name (Dorothy McShane) is confirmed by Big Finish canon - which is good enough for me.

Yes, so I allow that one. :-) (It's been used in two, maybe even three, separate spin-offs.)

This has to be the best meme ever! I'd like to comment on all the pairings but the only thing my brain is currently able to process is the Leela Liz Brigidear threesome! That is so very naughty!

I would so read a young Jonathan Creek and elderly Mary Countess of Grantham. "Any chance of you writing it?" she asks hopefully.

Who is Lucie Miller? A DW character?

Hee. I don't know, because I'm not very good at writing things when I don't know what will happen to Mary in the series... but I'll add it to my prompt list, 'cos it is quite an awesome idea.

Although, actually, you should just add Jonathan to your epic DA/DW/Sherlock crossover of doom. There's a mystery at Downton, and the Doctor takes back Sherlock and Jonathan to prove who's the best detective and... Heh. ;-)

Yes, sorry. I wasn't labelling the DW characters, but I should probably with the audio ones. *points to icon* She's one of Eight's companions on audio, played by Sheridan Smith (who was, coincidentally, Jonathan's most recent sidekick.)

(ETA: Sorry, I was just thinking, re. Jonathan/Downton/Sherlock/DW... of all the Doctors, dear heavens, Eleven would actually do something like that! *giggles*)

Harry and the TARDIS - especially having watched The Doctor's Wife - is an absolutely entrancing idea...

It is - and he would probably think the Doctor or Sarah was playing tricks on him. But of course she must have liked him.

(And I must see if I can manage to get and watch S6 sometime, I really must. It unfortunately made me feel v unwell trying to watch it when it was on!!)
