My precious laptop is stricken with some malicious software. Functionality decreases daily. Utterly worthless. I haven’t been able to accomplish anything lately and it is beginning to drive me up the wall. My laziness has once again taken over. I have a strong desire to do and to write, but have not fully done so. I am still not finished on “The Last Day” in The Black Book and have only managed to squeeze out a few token words. I went out for my first “full” day of 2010 Census enumerating yesterday. (It wasn’t exactly full by the standard definition-I resolved to only work four hours-but it was my first day out in the field without any census training attached.) In spite of the pay rate (something like $18.25 an hour) I am finding myself no longer wanting to do this job. ( Read more... ) -

The past few days have been mentally draining.
I amend that. Wednesday was not terrible. For the most part, my day was occupied by dryland training, preparation for training, or transportation to and from. In attempt to save a few dollars, I rode the “L” between Chicago and Evanston instead of riding Metra. This turned out rather nicely as I ended ( Read more... ) -

I have been neglecting my writing again. I feel this makes me a terrible person and my feelings are not unearned. I have done nothing to redeem myself. I should be writing a minimum of 1250 words a week (five pages) but I have failed repeatedly to produce such.
