I have absolutely no idea why, but for some ridiculous reason, flights from Denver to Atlanta ALWAYS run about $100 more than any other domestic destination. But today it got worse. Last I checked, it was $200 + taxes/fees to fly DEN to BWI, but today DEN to ATL jumped to $385 (and that's for off-peak from Air Tran) + taxes/fees. As a direct ( Read more... )

How about not flying out of Denver? Would it be possible for you and the boys to say, drive down to Phoenix or Utah and fly from there/here together with either say Kristie or myself and the Carol? Just a thought.

I'll keep an eye on plane fare for you.

So... $150 to PHX or SLC, then $250 to ATL from there... Yeah, not so much.

And I don't have the time off to add extra days for driving to either.

I was only considering the drive-then-fly option. I'll still keep an eye out for fare deals. If I find something, expect a frantic urgent NOWNOWNOW text.

I'm still holding out hope... But right now, with what it would cost me to fly to Atlanta, I could send BOTH my parent's to MD.

Keep up those happy thoughts about fare sales. I've got all the alerts going amd I'll keep trying to get get Priceline to weasel a cheaper fare for me
