Hook walked into Granny’s and plopped himself onto a stool dejectedly.
“What’s eaten’ you?” Leroy asked from the seat next to him. “Ya brought Emma back, shouldn’t ya be celebratin’?”
“I’m not much in a celebrating mood, Mate.”
“This because she didn’t remember ya when ya kissed ‘er?”
Hook frowned. “How do you know about that?”
“People assume ’cause I’m small I don’t hear stuff.” Leroy shrugged.
“I thought… never mind. It doesn’t matter anyway.”
“True love’s kiss don’t work like that. Ya gotta know who ya are.”
“So you’re saying…”
“There’s still a chance.” Leroy grinned. “Good luck, brother.”
