Jane hadn’t grown up around animals, so she’d been surprised to find that her favourite companion at Thornfield was Pilot.
Pilot was loving, loyal, and nonjudgemental. He was a constant in a world where people continually let her down. Pilot was always there for her, ready to accept a hug, cuddle up beside her, or lick her face.
Jane’s favourite thing about Pilot though, was the way he would greet her at the door, his head tilted in that adorable way of his that said, “I’m so excited to see you!”
Pilot, it turned out, was just what she needed.
