First of all I am officially settled back into the UK now. Had a few days of terrible jet lag which is actually pretty new for me, it's usually not that bad, but it was such a busy weekend right after I arrived that it seemed to throw me off. I did the same thing as soon as Dreamwidth opened in 2009, but then just let it languish because most of my friends list is still here. Now that's changing, and I'm surprised about how much is over on Dreamwidth now. It's just sad.

I'm not officially doing Nano this year, but like you, I'm focusing more on WIPs than starting anything new.

yeah exactly. I logged into DW for the first time in ages today and I basically had one friend on there. That'll change now. I am encouraged by this news post though, doesn't sound like the LJ changes are going to be as bad as feared. At least I hope not. I really do love LJ. http://lj-releases.livejournal.com/79629.html

IDK if this thing is actually going to be as bad as people are fearing. I read this yesterday: http://lj-releases.livejournal.com/79629.html and it made me feel better about most of the things people were freaking out about. I personally am okay with a lot of the flist changes but I would like customization. I find all that white really hard on my eyes. Anyway I'm still going to get DW going just in case it's needed down the road. It's not a bad idea to have a backup.
