I wish I had more to say. Work is starting to settle into a flow and we're shopping for another employee so the end of saturdays and endless hours stuck at the office is in sight. I'm not sure what i'll do wit myself when i'm back on a normal schedule. A&S maybe ( Read more... ) -

Feeling disconnected from everyone and everything. It's undoubtedly the long work hours and schedule keeping me from getting out and about or participating in a lot of social stuff. I will not let melancholy take me! -

My life for the past three months hasbeen dominated by my job. I'm working long hours 5 days a week, no actual weekends, plus getting everything running smoothly with new bosses and coworkers while the business is growing faster than anyone anticipated is proving to be a big challenge. One thing I didn't count on with the new work schedule is how hard it is to mentally leave work when i only have one day off at a time. It's perpetually "tomorrow is the start of the work week." So I've mentally been at work since, oh, Labor Day.

I think I've managed to regain some emotional balance. This is good. Also, day 1 of being back on the healthy living train involved sushi and walking. Go me!

comforting thoughts
Previously, I had a religious phase. Some of you may remember that. It's a sad time. One friend dead and two more moving to San Diego this weekend. That knocks out two of the three couples Steve and I hang out with the most. I hope D and P are up for filling in the gaps in our social life, and I hope that J and C stay good about the internet contact ( Read more... )
