It's a sad time. One friend dead and two more moving to San Diego this weekend. That knocks out two of the three couples Steve and I hang out with the most. I hope D and P are up for filling in the gaps in our social life, and I hope that J and C stay good about the internet contact

I can only imagine losing them in that way. I say " losing them", fully conscious that B is still here, but we have still lost "them".
