[Clark's in his Superman getup as he settles down to deliver a solemn message to the city. No point explaining to everyone who knows him how Clark Kent knows Wonder Woman.]

For those who knew her... Diana, otherwise known as Wonder Woman, has gone home.

[He doesn't really have anything else to say on the subject, but he keeps his journal open ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure most people who knew her will.

... How are you, Miss Mizuno?

[That... actually flusters her for a second because she's not sure yet.]

A friend from home is here now, sort of.

[Yeah. She's not making a lot of sense with that.]

[And yet, he understands her perfectly.]

By "sort of", you mean they're not quite how you remember them?

H-HOME?! You're joking right!? I thought... [She was going to stay here a lot longer... but he can't really tell that to her FRIENDS. This isn't exactly the best place to stay afterall.]

That she'd be one of the last to go? Yeah... knowing Diana I'm a little surprised too. She's a stubborn one.

[John had long since discovered Diana was gone as well. If Clark hadn't delivered the message, he certainly would have. As it is, he's headed out of the house, carrying a box of his possessions (which in Luceti, are quite few) when he spots Supes.]

... hey Clark. Thinking about Diana?

[He glances up and gives John a nod.]

Right on the money. Am I that obvious?

More or less. It's the same for me.

[He sets the box on the corner of the porch, before leaning up against it the railing beside it.]

Well, it's no surprise. It's always so out of nowhere when someone leaves... Bruce was the same, though at least with him we're used to those kind of exits.

[He takes a drink of the coffee, collecting his thoughts.]

...Oh. That's -- oh. Good for her. Home's better than a rat cage.

[ she sounds a little awkward. ]

Absolutely true, but at the same time... Diana's one of the ones who would have wanted to stay until everyone else had gotten to go home.

[It was that kind of selflessness that made her Wonder Woman, after all.]

...She's not the only one. But -- hey, we've gotta take our silver linings even if we have to cherry-pick them.

Well that's true enough, especially around here.

Oh... [Vash likes the Justice League. He's been learning to trust them, so it hurts to know their numbers are dwindling.]

I'm... I'm sorry.

...are you alright? [He never knows what to say at times like these.]

I'll be fine. It's a shame to lose her, just like it was to lose Batman, but we all know it can happen to any of us at any time.

More than anything, I know she wouldn't have wanted to leave us like this.

I don't think anyone really likes to go without saying goodbye.

And yet it looks like that's the only way to go around here.
