Questions for Longmire writer of next episode and BIG SPOILERS FOR SEASON

Jun 05, 2012 18:04

Does anyone have questions for the writer of this Sunday's episode? I'll be chatting with her this weekend! Please leave them in the comments if you do. Your questions don't have to just be about this week's episode of course. Sarah is a staff writer for the show, so is involved with all aspects of it.

Also, if anyone wants to be COMPLETELY SPOILED ( Read more... )

That is a really weird character description. It's just strangely put.

I don't have any questions, I am sure you will ask all the important things :)

Not sure if it's my computer, but the link doesn't work for me. Firefox says 'Server not found' Firefox can't find the http....

Is it working for others?

Sorry it added some funky characters into the code (probably when I switched from RAW HTML to Rich text). It's fixed now and here's the link:

Thanks! And oh my. They really do lay too much out there. I stopped reading and started skimming, then switched to just reading the episode descriptions and looking for mentions of Vic.

Hey now... you say "spoiler whore" like that's a bad thing. But why the hate for whores? Sex workers have a perfectly valid if terribly underappreciated job.

Just saying! :)

Question for writer: Do we find out anything about what troubles Vic left behind her in Philly?

I don't know how to say it without it being kind of offensive/confrontational, but I wonder about the view of women the show will take. The pilot ep was about saving a teen from prostitution and the next one seems to be about a young woman who is working as a stripper. We discussed this a little bit in relation to the books so I wonder. I'm not sure if that can be asked in a nice way since I'm sure professionally you don't want to alienate a staff writer. ;-)

I'm afraid to click the link. I'm trying to be not tooooo spoiled. That's an odd description for Sean.

Oh good question. I'll totally ask her about the female exploitation issues! I'll be diplomatic certainly, but I think she'll get it as a female writer, you know?

Heh, the way that description was written really kind of cracked me up. I wouldn't click the link maybe--it's got a real lot of info. Although the bit about meeting Branch's Uncle and Dad and Vic's husband is really encouraging because that means they're clearly invested in opening up the secondary characters' lives and continuing to have a lot of character stuff and not just be a straight procedural, I think!

Yes, I agree good question!

I was wondering about how the racial issues between the Native American characters and the non- Native American character will develope too.

Ooh yes, I'll definitely ask about that. Sarah's second episode that she wrote (#9) deals with that topic specifically actually!
