It's far too late. Why am I up? Well to be honest I am washing some clothes I wanted to wear tomorrow, so I'm staying up till the washing machine is finished (not long to go) then I can sling things in the tumble drier and get some kip.

Having read "Oryx and Crake", I am now reading Robert Harris' "Pompeii" which is turning out to be pretty good - plus there's the whole "Ho ho, you poor dumb bastards" factor (or is that just me being evil?)

Just finished reading Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake - It's been quite scary how I've blitzed through it, considering how I've only been reading it on the tram, at lunchtime and before I go to bed. Just been reading in Gordon Welchman's "The Hut Six Story" about how they used the lazy habits of German Enigma operators to determine the plugboard settings of the day's encrypted intercept traffic. I had to read it through twice to understand it, but it's bloody clever stuff :)

(As for choice of brain music, my mind is far too easily influenced)

I'm currently reading Gordon Welchman's "The Hut Six Story", the story of his work at Bletchley Park in WWII.
