I guess I have better luck in Florida than I've had thus far in New York. So far, absolutely everything down here has fallen into place about as smoothly as possible ( Read more... )

That's awesome, dude. It's great you finally got your shit together and are now doing exactly what you've dreamed of doing. And more than that, that it is pretty darn close to what you dreamed it would be.

Cross those fingers for me that things continue to work out as smoothly for me as they have been.

I don't know what it is, but there's something intangible down here that's different. I never used to believe in luck, and then a bunch of shit all went wrong. Two days down here, and things are swinging in the opposite direction.

I think Florida likes me. I know New York hates me, and the feeling is mutual.

w00t! Now that's some lucky viewin' ;) The waters around St. John (damn, that was too long ago) were clear enough I could have seen dolphins had there been any, but they were oddly empty, save for the metric fuckton of teeny/not so teeny fish swarming around the coral reefs near the shore.

It actually wasn't all that unexpected (though of course awesome). I've known for some time that Tampa Bay has a resident population of dolphins living in it... and from all accounts thriving.

Last time I was here, I went on a dolphin watch cruise, and they weren't that hard to find.

While I am glad things are turning up forya, I still warn you should be prepared for shitty tropical storms! I'll be laughing if you move in without a hitch, only to have to abandon ship when a category 4-5 comes cruising by!! :P

See, that's the thing... I don't leave. So it won't be a problem.

So I'll be without power and water for a few days. Whoop-de-doo, I've had that happen before.

Generally they evacuate people when they are of that intensity, people tend to die or get severely hurt otherwise. Remember Andrew & Katrina's fun lil path of merriment? :P

I thought I posted here, but now I don't see it. Any way, when I asked what film you saw, when I clicked on the MOSI link, it brought up stuff showing at the Imax, so I figured you saw a movie.

DALE.

Ah, I gotcha. It wasn't on their front page when I linked to it before.

We saw Aliens Of The Deep there, but the IMAX movie wasn't the main reason we went.
