Maybe you can wear the wedding dress to the wedding and the other dress to the reception so dancing is easier?

That was my idea! My mom is strongly against it for some reason (well, for the reason that the 20 minutes of actual ceremony time isn't long enough to wear The Dress You Wear Only Once), but maybe I can keep the big dress on for the slow dances and change into the little one for the fast numbers.
