Thank you for the great pics!
Are scones what we call in the USA "English Muffins"?

My pleasure!
No, scones are not the same as muffins: they are really only eaten for afternoon tea with butter, clotted cream and jam, and are normally sweet, often with raisins or sultana (fruit scones).

What a lovely day with Adrian's Mum!

Sorry to hear about the chair. I don't trust the online stock indicators at Ikea. We had a similar issue with the West Sacramento store. I hope they replenish their stock soon.

Take care, Franco!

It was a great day: old trains (especially when you can have afternoon tea!) are so lovely.

I wonder what's the point of having an online stock checker if it's not reliable at all!

All the best, Cory!

I love the picture of Adrian and his mum! It's such a "mum 'n' son" picture!

The others are fantastic as well. Thanks for sharing!

And they were even colour coordinated! LOL!

Glad you enjoyed the pictures, and thanks for the compliments!

Only tiny details here and there give away photos were recently shot. I don't know which between the casttle, the cloudy sky, the breakfast onboard the train (scones, fruit jam in glass jar, china OMG!) or your mother in law looks the most British ^_^

Oh yes, it was a journey back into Britishness, when the trains used to run on time (almost) and people were extremely polite to each other!

I slightly altered the "truth" in the afternoon tea photo and moved the butter and clotted cream plastic containers out of range!

But perhaps the most British part was your closing remark. Chairs sold out, so we bought an orchid instead. Lovely.
