A few days earlier Vash read somewhere that first dates are the most important when it comes to leaving a good first impression. But what do you do when you've known the person/date for more then 10 years? This so-called Ultimate Guide to Dating had no answer to that, and proving itself useless Vash threw it aside onto another pile of books in the apartment. There was only one man who knew how to woo a lady in his opinion, and so he turned to his faithful companion. James BondStudying a couple of his mannerisms and trademarks with the ladies, Vash hoped it would help him conquer the whole fiasco of "First Dates." Her face flushed, and she all but froze at his gesture. To be completely honest, Lenna wasn't going to expect all that much due to the fact the two of them were already used to going out together, not to mention that their first impression of each other was over ten years ago

The warmth of her light-hearted smile made Vash blush slightly as he in turn began to smile as well. "Yeah..." slowly he placed his hand on top of hers and held it, "Merry Christmas." He couldn't help but turn his head slightly away from her to hide the reddening color that had appeared in his cheeks. It wasn't often that he did this sort of thing, and frankly he felt it was a bit nerve-wracking to say the least.
"Was it too soon??" he thought, "Or should have I gone in for a kiss?" "No it's too early!" Hidden beneath his rosy tint was a cacophony of endless questions and rebuttals banging across his mind and giving the poor Swiss a bit of a headache. But he was not about to compromise the wonderful situation he was in. The headache was worth it

As he turned away in embarrassment, Lenna giggled at his behavior and wondered where the usually confident Vash was. She guessed that even the hardened cop could have a cute side to him as well. Once he grasped her hand in his however, she felt her own face heat up. Vash was never the best at expressing himself, she knew that but the small gestures were enough for her. The actions of endearment towards her made her heart beat faster.
Looks like waiting all these years had paid off.
Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by his question and the more she thought about it, the more it seemed like he was actually nervous about tonight. She smiled again in an attempt to provide some solace for him and replied, "Well, either way could go..." she backtracked as his expression worsened, "We could do it now if you want."

Looks like waiting all these years had paid off.
