WHEN: Tuesday, April 19, 2011 WHO: My Linh and Hak Soo WHERE: Somewhere between Liberty University and Vichy Plaza WHAT: A small mishap with great agitation.
Hak Soo walked through the gates of the building, tapping his card and greeting Louis the gate guard who had yet again missed the perpetual memo that he wasn't the most pleasant of fellows
"Hello, Louis," he said, before boarding the elevator. Suddenly, he saw the unwelcome sight of Darren running towards the door screaming "Hey, Hak Soo! Wait up!"
Hak Soo had never pressed the Door Close button more quickly, or in more rapid succession. Unfortunately, the inept moron was faster than he had expected. Sighing, he gave a politely disinterested wave. Then of course, as the doors closed, he heard the dulcet tones of Asian pop tunes blaring in his ear. Of course the man would set something as shameless as that as his ringtone. Hak Soo gave his superior a pointed glare when it dawned on him-oh

My Linh didn't think much of opening the phone's Internet browser and opening up Google Maps. If the owner of this phone (and presumed thief of her own phone) was dumb enough to have a smart phone without a data plan, then he should suffer the consequences. There was no reason to wander around aimlessly hoping that she would stumble upon Vichy Plaza when she had access to a virtual map and directions.
She was sitting on the bus, en route home, when (not) her phone vibrated in her hand. Startled, she squeaked and almost dropped it. Clutching it, relieved that she didn't actually drop it and crack its screen, it took My Linh a couple of moments before she remembered. Right. This wasn't her phone. It took her a couple of extra moments before she remembered another thing. Right. It vibrated because there was a message.
Inputting the passcode again, she read the message that the mysterious thief had sent back in response to hers. Incredulous. She steal his phone? The nerve of him to suggest such a thing

Hak Soo stared at his-not-his phone in disbelief. Was this person twelve years old? Who even used "y" and "u" to replace actual words in the English language?! Rubbing his temple, Hak Soo retorted with a surly "I tell you that you are clearly twelve years old and that you aren't very good at pulling pranks." He pressed the send button as viciously as possible.
Then he sent a final message: "Meet me in Huayuan on Morong Streef at 5:30 PM sharp or I will not be responsible for any fuirther actions."
When Darren gave him an amused look, Hak Soo glowered. "Please shut up," he muttered, feeling the tips of his ears turn pink at the embarrassing debacle. He did not need to have his superior needling him for such trivial drivel, as he no doubt would take delight in doing.
My Linh frowned. That wasn't a nice assumption at all. She wasn't pulling anything, never mind a prank. What is a "prank" anyway? She opened the dictionary app to look up the word and---the word meant what she thought it meant. My Linh sighed again
