Missing Phones

Apr 19, 2011 14:32

WHEN: Tuesday, April 19, 2011
WHO: My Linh and Hak Soo
WHERE: Somewhere between Liberty University and Vichy Plaza
WHAT: A small mishap with great agitation.

It was a pleasant day to get lost in Liberty.

My Linh reached into her bag, absent-mindedly fumbling to find her phone. There was her wallet, computer wires, her make-up brush, a tube of lipgloss but... no familiar jump of metal and glass that she lovingly called her phone. Where is it? Frowning, she placed her purse on the ground and knelt down in front of it, sorting the junk she had it in. She had her wallet, assorted make-up things, and her phone charger and wires... and no phone.

And she panicked. Wh-where did her phone go!? The sense of dread sat in her stomach, slowly and uncomfortably churning. Was there a possibility that she had been pick-pocketed? Unlikely, since the top of her purse was buttoned closed, and it would have been improbable for someone to open her bag and steal her phone without her noticing. And her wallet was still in her purse, and surely credit cards and cash were worth more than her phone...

Odder yet was that they took her phone, and replaced it with this mystery phone!

Grimancing--is this an Android phone? Maybe there is some merit in keeping this phone for programming purposes if she can't retrieve her original phone--My Linh tapped on the glass of the phone. Passcode required.

Hmm. This could take a while.

A couple of tries on the passcode (and some miraculous luck), she managed to get the right combination pattern.

Tapping in her phone number, she sent the text message: "Who r u and y r u having my phone?"

status: incomplete, vietnam, north korea
