It was the worst day of Alfred’s life. One of them at least… definitely in the top ten ( ... )

Putting a hand in his pocket, he took a quiet breath. “And the monologue’s from Pulp FictionAlfred played a rather convincing Jules Verne. “Well there's this passage I got memorized Ezekiel 25:17,” he said, pacing across the stage, keeping his eyes focused on a point outside the washed white-light, voice quiet and intense, “‘The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you ( ... )

Finally.

Finally.

After eight poor auditions, a voice that his ears could listen to, and tackling a song originally meant for a female, no less! Then the monologue - although the cursing caught him off guard with it's boldness and originality - had the perfect accent for the American's voice. The Welshman got to his feet and firmly clapped his hands together once, twice, thrice... then pressed his hand down on the surface, not peering at Alfred from over his glasses.

"All right Alfred, thank you for auditioning. Cast list will be posted on auditorium doors this Friday. Also, please don't pester me for results once we get home. NEXT!"

Lili was sitting in one of the many seats, watching as each auditioning student tried their best to get their respective part. She was nervous. Very, very nervous. This was the first time she had ever tried to even attempt to be in a play. The thought of having new friends and being up on stage felt nice though. She overheard Professor Ainsworth beckon the next student and she stood up. The young girl had to step it up sooner or later. Her eyes wandered around the auditorium as she made her way up to the stairs, finally looking at the two judges once she met the microphone ( ... )

He knew it. He really, truly, knew it. His eyes lit up behind his glasses the moment Jo stepped on stage. His heart pounded in his ears, and any expectations he had of her - no matter how high - were far too low for how much she surpassed them.

The Welshman nodded to Jared; they found her. And she deserved applause.

"Thank you, thank you, Johanna!" One could easily hear the smug 'I knew it' in his voice. "The cast list will be up this Friday! Next!"

I really ought to be used to this by now... Remy thought to herself as she made her way up to the stage. It was far from being her first audition. She was a complete drama addict, who'd been in every play and musical ever put on by her Junior High and High School, and she'd been on this stage plenty of times in drama classes. And yet....

She took a deep breath to settle her nerves a little before turning to face her 'audience,' giving them a bright smile. "Good afternoon," the well-worn audition intro eased her into performance-mode. "I'm Remy Tomkins, and I'm trying out for any part. I'll be singing 'How could I ever know' from The Secret Garden and performing a monologue from Your Money's Worth by Kellie Powell ( ... )

And another thing she had to show off: versatility. Only a completely useless actress was limited to one character ( ... )

He watched his half-sister intently - her expressionism, the way she carried her voice - and he laced his fingers together, rested his chin upon them, and leaned forward a little in his dim light, occasionally looking down at his hand to scribble notes across his notepad.

Impressive. His lips sought the tiny microphone before him. "Thank you very much Remy. The cast list will be posted on Friday on the Auditorium doors. NEXT!"
