Just as the title implies, it's about the five people you meet in heaven. I won't give anything away, but the main character meets five people who have greatly impacted his life or whose lives he has impacted greatly. It's amazing. You have no idea. I cried.
Hmm...i will definitely throw a few of these up there on my "List of things to go get at the library on thrusday" (TOTALLY READING THAT LINCOLN ONE ALL THE WAY)
.... Can I just like, I duno, post a picture of my overflowing bookshelf? No? okay time to make a long ass list....
Series: •The Edge Chronicles (fantasy and amazing shit like sky pirates wooooah and so many cool creatures and stuff too~) •The Looking Glass Wars (I may just have a thing for odd Alice in Wonderland remakes but... meh) • Cirque Du Freak (certainly an interesting take on vampires - wish it lasted as long as it was planned) • Da Vinci Code books (angels and demons, da vinci code and the lost symbol they made me think and wonder like daaaamn) • The Kiesha'ra of the den of shadows (havent properly read the series since middle school but its got fantasy and wyvern people and it introduced me to William Blake so I love it) • Inheart (or whatver youd call the trilogy. havent read the last but i adore the first two... I'm a fantasy junky in case you havent gotten that yet)
BOOKS:• Poison by Chris Wooding (again fantasy, and interesting take on the fae and how worlds are run
( ... )
Sadly, all my books are not with me right now. So, I'll try to do this off the top of my head.
Anything by Carol Berg Megan Whalen Turner's The Thief series (LOVE 'em) Circle of Magic series by Tamora Pierce Anything by Annette Curtis Klause Cate Tiernan's Balefire series Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind Anything by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
Ow, my head hurts now... but there's so many more. I've never found someone else that likes Circle of Magic, that was such a good series.
I didn't really read that many books that were part of a series. Though, when I did, it was way back when I was really young, so the ones I'm listing are...yeah, just a bit, yeah.
Series: - The Song of the Lioness - A Series of Unfortunate Events - Harry Potter - Artemis Fowl - The Vampire Chronicles - Avalon: Web of Magic (BACK WHEN I WAS A YOUNGIN') - There were two other series that I really loved...but they're in storage right now and the names just escape me for some reason, hur hur.
Authors: - DON'T ASK ME TO PICK. JUST DON'T. Though, I do like reading essays and poetry written by José Antonio "Tony" Burciaga. They're just...nnng.
...I only really read (and sitll own) Interview with a Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, and Queen of the Damned. Because I loved all three. Everything else I really just skimmed. <<;
Those three, The Vampire Armand and Merick (i think it was that one... with lestat and louie doing their cuddle thing in the end) are my favs. The rest I have... because I oculdn't rent them OTL /not allowed at libraries /forgets to return books
- The Brothers Karamozov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky - Harry Potter by what's-her-face - The Liar by Stephen Fry - When you are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris (HA-LARIOUS. It's more of a journal/autobiography?)
And really, that's all I can think of. Minus the books I read for a YA Lit class during winter. I tend to get my reading material from my mom FYI, because she reads sooo much more than me.
I also picked up a book called The Pink Triangle last year, which was really interesting/sad ;; I don't remember who wrote/translated it. It was Nazi stuff though, so bawwws are to be had. ;;
