Thanks!! I will definitely be posting, especially since VICTORY I have finally managed to fix my camera - it died while I was in Vietnam and I couldn't get it fixed :( BUT NOW I WILL HAVE MANY BEAUTIFUL PICS. I hope!

That's great news. I mean just think about it - spending time in Italy, on a Mediterranean Island no less, and getting paid for that. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. :D

Sounds marvelous. Sardinia is supposed to be stunning and I'm sure the food will be to die for. Though my Italian husband says he can't understand a word of Sardinian--might as well be Martian. ;)

And there's history, and I'm going to try hiking - EXCITE!!!

Haha, oh god yeah Italian dialects. I've had loads of Italian ESOL students in London and maaaaan the Sicilians and the Neapolitans and the Milano... it's tough for anyone to communicate with anyone!

Yay! And 6 months is definitely such contained time period. And what's this about well-paid? Nice.

Yeah, it's pretty perfect. If I love it I can go back after the summer, and if not I can get a TA job in a secondary school in the autumn in the UK, and see about qualifying as a teacher here.

Yeah, Italian TEFL jobs seem to be mostly not well-paid but this is good. Like, I'd get paid WAY more at the job I'm likely to be offered for January here in London, but obvs Cagliari's rent is a QUARTER of what it is here.

Also, hiking! Famous for it apparently.

Hiking is seriously the best. Especially when I was first in Korea, I was like why is everyone always so much happier on the mountain than anywhere else in town? As I began to feel more at home here, I saw happiness everywhere, but it's still special on the mountain.
