Ahead of schedule even!

Whoo-hoo! Except for weaving in the ends, the first of (hopefully) two Christmas crochet projects is done. A long-sleeved sweater top that will officially debut on Christmas Day. According to my schedule, I allowed myself until the end of November to finish the project. But I'm likely to finish it in the next day or two, depending on when I weave ( Read more... )

LOL Not until the ends are woven in , that's for sure! Wearing the top at the moment makes me look a little like an unraveling mummy. Strings hanging EVERYWHERE! It was really bad when I had the various strings that served are row markers and increase reminders. I know hubby was looking at me oddly a couple of times when I'd try it on and come up awash with dangling threads.

Hopefully, I'll get the pics by the end of the month cuz I'd like to post this project in November's Crochet Finished Object of the Month thread on Ravelry.

Last week, we just added 2 *ahem* items to our household....a set of crochet hooks and 2 sets of knitting needles.

Before that pops into your head...no they are not for me. XD They're for my mom and sister...who surprised me with your hidden knowledge and talent. O_____O Whah? Wheh? When? did they learn to knit and crochet...and why didn't I know about it? orz I tried my hands at crocheting for a little bit - it was fun but my patience isn't great enough for an entire project. ^^; Though my mom is knitting me this awesome scarf for x-mas - will post when she's done. 8Db

You? Lacking patience? The one who watches over how many experiments? Who writes papers to be published? Who makes glorious user pics and signatures? I seriously doubt you qualify as lacking enough patience for an entire crochet or knitting project. They don't have to be big projects, you know. Make little amigurumi like I do if you don't want to tackle something big. Crochet amigurumi are especially nice because you don't have to know too many different stitches to make them. 99.9% of amigurumi is made from 1 stitch -- the single crochet stitch.

Haha. Thanks for your confidence. I guess I just lack patience in domestic work - or that's what my mom tells me. X'D If I ever marry, my husband better know how to cook and sew for himself. XDDD Well, I do like cooking but most of the time they don't turn out quite right. ^^;;
