About NCIS 10x22 - "Revenge"

It's... hard doing this review after watching "Double Blind". It was tough before, because "Revenge" sort of ripped my heart out on a whole new level, but now... now there's suddenly so much Tony!pain in my head and overshadowing the rest, and it's really hard to get my thoughts together while all I want to do is curl up in a corner and whimper ( Read more... )

Big fat amen. Yes, to all of the above.
You started crying during the gymscene, I started after the fight. All the adrenaline build up, the tension, the pain she bestowed on herself during the episode all came crashing down on me at that moment. Call it a "omg girl, what have you done to yourself" moment. i felt her physical an emotional pain, it was so raw. *sobs*

I also totally agree with the character "regression". It's the most human reaction there is, going back to thing you know best, the biggest defence mechanism that has been ingrained in to your core, by training as well as by experience. Ziva became the hard, cold and distant Ninja assassin and Tony the deflecting, womanising goofball. And no, I didn't like that either, but I do get why they both went down that path again.

I can't wait for your "Double Blind" review, 'cause it was a fantastic episode.

Ok, so I haven't finished reading the review and won't before I have a nap(I REALLY need one). Nevertheless I thought I'd make a comment on what I had read so far ( ... )

Wait, Ziva used a contraction? Like It's over instead of It is over? I remember in one episode Tony was say that she should start using those, I don't remember when, maybe season 7 when she was studying to become an American Citizen.

And this makes me thankful that both of my parents are still at work cause I was laughing randomly (to outsiders) like a maniac at a few parts in this.

Can't wait for your review for Double Blind! I'll probably be sitting here, in this exact same spot on this couch, with my laptop...

ps; I'm giggling like a maniac at the *facepalmer* picture, even though I have already seen it

That was season 5, "Designated Driver". Her speech patterns have changed since then, she uses them quite often.

No wonder I remember that scene so well, it was the first season I owned! *headdesk*

And I'm quiet surprised I haven't noticed it (damn you fanfictions who write her with that!) I guess, instead of just watching her pretty face and listening to what's going on, I should listen to how she is talking. I'm prepared for several hours of listening to one Ziva David

Thanks so much Sammy! I had forgotten the great scene in the basement, what with all the DB stuff to think about. I loved your assessment of Tony's face- after contemplation I agree with you. I think he decided to stubbornly not say anything, because he really does look stubborn there. if anything, I think he would have said something about the case, just like Gibbs would have done if he had been asked the question in that situation.

Also loved the part about the scene in the bullpen with Abby's question- I couldn't figure out what that was all supposed to mean, but I think you got it.

Now, I am looking forward to your review of DB. Which I know will be a lot of work, so no pressure to hurry:) I think I'm a little exhausted from thinking about it myself the last 2 days.
